Bedtime Stories

I just recently started reading to Elyse before bedtime (if she will tolerate it). I fully realize at this age, I'm probably not teaching her how the three little kittens found their mittens, but it is really fun to start the habit young. Her attention span right before bed is typically terrible, but she will allow me to read her The Three Little Kittens over and over again. Aunt Bethany got it for her, and I loved that book when I was little. Since Jordan works evenings, he rarely gets in on Elyse's bedtime routine, but he got a real kick out of it the other night. We gave her a bath, he combed her hair in a new special way, and I had to laugh as he read one story to her in his Scottish accent. Elyse looked at him with such curiosity! William Wallace should not be reading The Three Little Kittens. Let's just leave it at that :) It's so fun to see Jordan get to enjoy the little things I get to enjoy every day! Here are some cute pictures of them together.

I ALSO had to post my new favorite picture of Daddy & his little girl :)

I love all of your recent pics and I'm glad you're reading Elyse The Three Little Kittens. It was one of my favorites too (In face, I may have read it once through before I gave it to Elyse : )

Too cute! Elyse looks so serious as her daddy reads to her. :) I had to laugh at the thought of William Wallace reading that book - leave it to Jordan. :) Pretty soon she'll be turning the pages faster than you can read to her!

So cute! Somehow Eli missed out on the whole "start reading to them early" thing... I'm such a great mom. Now he won't sit still for 2 seconds. Lovely. :) LOVE that pic at the bottom of the two of them. I can't look at it too often - it makes me cry... :)
